The Economic Focal Points in Our Community

Town of Pleasant Garden:  The township is nestled in the Southeast area and offers a wonderful place for specialty retail stores and artisan start-ups. Private sector investments can be seen along Pleasant Garden Road, the town's business corridor. Old homes are being restored for residential use and entrepreneur investors have brought their sprit with them. It really is a great place to live, work & play. The town council recently approved a Recreation Master Plan that has been awarded the State PARTF funding grant.

Small Area Plan: The Liberty Road / Woody Mill Road Forest Oaks area is designed to encourage development of a thriving, mixed-use area between Liberty Road and US Highway 421 at Woody Mill Road.

Currently there are two shopping centers in the area; Shoppes at Forest Oaks Food Lion & Forest Oaks Commons Dollar General. Both are 100% Leased.

Climax & Julian: This is an unincorporated community on the border of Guilford County and Randolph County located along HWY 421. The community is just south of Pleasant Garden and offers service stations, restaurants, specialty retail and the Dollar General. The main roads for transportation include NC-22, Old 421 and NC-62. The area is best know for the Southeast Airport, Homeland Creamery, Goat Lady Dairy Farm, East Coast Lumber, Whitaker Farms and Julian Milling Company, just to name a few.
